Hello!
I hope everyone is having a great week! I know I am a week ahead but I was wonder if anyone had any ideas of what we wanted to do for our podcast for this upcoming week!
I like that idea! Also, the instructions on the podcast said we have to include two concepts from the textbook. Does anyone have a concept they really wanted to include?
What exactly is our project? If its our project about restaurant comparisons (fastfood, fine dining, etc) we could have students invite parents to an open house to see their final work and what they have discovered about the differences between the restaurants.
If it is a different project we could invite parents to come to our restaurant with an invitation(fancy invite). When they get to the restaurant area it will be all set up how the students want their restaurant to be. They could have a waiter or waitress sit their parents down and give them a menu with only like two different options on it for main course, and dessert. For drinks we could have like 5 choices.
Maybe for our topics from the books we could talk about assessments, and project management?
I like the idea of having the parents come into the classroom transformed into the restaurateur the students have been working on. I'm thinking that one of us should talk about project based learning and why we have decided to use it in our classroom. Someone else can talk about the work the students have been putting into the project so far. And then someone can invite the parents to the finished project. Any other suggestions for the set up for the podcast? Also, are we each supposed to have two topics from the text or just two as a whole group?
I think it is two concepts from the textbook for the overall group. I feel also maybe the ending person should say a little bit more about something about the restaurant! I think everything else is great!
Also, does someone want to create a google document that we can share our scripts in? So we can see what everyone is saying and edit them if we need too!
Maybe just describe what our project is all about then invite them to an open house to see the student's final work?
